COLLABORATIVE NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECTS
Below are current projects in the Portland neighborhood with opportunities for partnership.

LYTLE STREET CHAPEL

SLEVIN STREET
HOUSE FOR KIDS

HIGH STREET
PUBLIC HOUSE
With a rich history and deep roots in the fabric of our neighborhood, the Lytle Street Chapel serves as a meeting space, overnight accommodation and wedding venue serving our neighborhood and those surrounding. While extensive renovations have been completed on the interior, the exterior needs various improvements to help preserve the beauty and historic value of the building. These improvements include roofing, siding, doors, concrete repair and parking lot resurfacing.
Goal to be raised $60,000
Our time spent in the Portland neighborhood has taught us many things. One need that regularly comes to the surface is that of childcare, specifically for our neighbors who are in need of addiction treatment but hesitate to get the help they need because of concern for the wellbeing of their children. Our mission with the Slevin Street House for Kids is to provide temporary care for the children of those actively seeking healing and treatment. In order to provide the best care possible for these children, the Slevin Street house is in need of exterior improvements such as siding, gutters, paint, and windows.
Goal to be raised $50,000
This historic property is part of the earliest history of the Portland community. Originally built as a candy factory and store it has more recently served as a restaurant where neighbors could socialize over a meal. The lack of dining spaces in our neighborhood specifically those offering dinner service is saddening because of the value of coming together for a good meal. Our vision is to create a new full service coffee shop and public house restaurant for our neighborhood. The improvements needed in order to open include kitchen buildout and dining room renovation.
Goal to be raised $75,000
